Timbers is one of Fernie's most sensational homes. It is a mountain lodge with spectacular details, mountain views and ski-in/ski-out access. With beds for 17 guests, this huge handcrafted log home makes for a perfect retreat for a large family or executive group.
Well-appointed ensuites in three of the master bedrooms have slate tile floors, and include either soaker or private jetted tubs. There is also a stand-up steam shower in one of the ensuites. The three master bedrooms are comprised of two kings and one queen sized bed, two private balconies and fantastic antique furniture.
The three remaining bedrooms are equally impressive. There is a massive queen-queen bunk bed, another room with two queen beds & full ensuite and a third with a queen and a twin bed. The two bedrooms without ensuites have full baths across the hallway with soaker tubs and slate floors. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with turn of the century furniture pieces to bring a rustic feel to this sophisticated home.
For entertaining, The Timbers could not be better appointed. Enjoy the views, or music, or wine & conversation in the large great room. A gourmet kitchen will allow you to prepare large meals and serve them up at an antique fir timber table located in the great room.
In the evening make your way to Loggerheads', the private games room
and lounge area with a gas fireplace. It is the perfect place to watch TV, listen to music & rack up a game of pool. The lounge is situated in a far wing, so sounds won't travel & disturb those in the main part of the home.
The hot tub is also one of The Timber's outstanding features. Soak away a hard day on the slopes in this oversized hot tub nestled in evergreen trees on a private octagon deck. The surrounding deck areas are well detailed, with larch planks and log/craftsman railings
